Kim Olynyk

Kim Olynyk holds a major in film studies from the University of Manitoba, a BA in English from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver BC, as well a master's degree from the Centre of Theory and Criticism at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Her special areas of research include: narratives of suffering, tragic literatures, existentialism, and the history of psychiatry. Her current doctoral studies and teachings take up the problem of coexistance, the work of guilt and shame, and regarding the pain and suffering of others.

Kim is currently teaching at The University of Winnipeg in the The Centre for Academic Writing and English departments, as well as on contract with the Film Studies program at the University of Manitoba.
